Hudonia

With the help of Kayla Craig, my peer and partner of this project, we created Hudsonia. Hudsonia is a restaurant with influences from the Indigenous cultures. Our main concept for the floor plans and reflected ceiling plans is "pattern". They were designed to depict the natural and organic movements that we see in patterns. Designed to depict the natural and organic moevemnts that we see in patterns, we looked at natural patterns, such as migration and organic forms seen in trees, plants, and animals. Drawing heavily on the four elements; earth, water, fire and air, the materials and furniture that were chosen emulated a natural and rustic feeling, all while maintaining a contemporary and sophisticated design.
